One of My Favorites!

This was a fun wedding, but it put my conflict resolution skills to the test. The first arch was way too flimsy to hold these flower arrangements. Luckily Hobby Lobby had this one for rent for only $40. Once we assembled the arch it was very sturdy and we were able to attach the beautiful flowers. This ceremony was originally planned to be outside, but it was so cold that day we decided it would be best to move indoors. Luck for us our Bride was very laid back and go with the flow so she wasn't upset about the change.

I love this look. Its very elegant and sophisticated. The black table linen has this beautiful scrolling and the purple satin napkins made great accents. Each guest was given a glass with the words STOLEN on it with purple cotton candy inside. Each table had a tall glass vase with a romantic arrangement of purple roses and hydrangeas with a floating orchid. The table had purple candles that just added to the romance.

This guest table had a gorgeous rosette linen and a great spray to match. The squares on the table are fabric that each guest left a message on. The couple had the squares made into a patch quilt that made into such a personal and unique guest book.

The gum paste flowers were so detailed on the wedding cake. Between the flowers, were wire spirals and the tiers where lined with black satin ribbon. The Grooms cake had soooo many chocolate covered strawberries that I was unsure on how they would serve it!

This wedding was such a pleasure to do. The couple had a photo booth for their guests and everyone had a turn or two to add to the wedding album-props and all. This event was at La Torretta Resort which was great since they are so accommodating and the staff is awesome. The catering from this venue is done in house and they always have such tasty things on the menu. I look forward to my next event with my friends at La Torretta.

A Whole New Experience

So my first post EVER (excited!). Here goes...
I have been on a wedding crash course since August when I first started picking up gigs (while still getting my certification). I started as an intern of sorts for Dream With Me Event Planning working with Hailey. She had a lot going on in her life at the time and I took the weddings she had booked on my own. Luckily I'm a quick study so things went well. I covered this wedding as my first "big girl" event.
Ceremony @ La Torretta Resort

The Ceremony between Amanda and Clay was very touching and the weather could not have been better!

Reception @ La Torretta

The reception was beautiful in bright blue and chocolate brown. This was a party full of music, dancing and good times. The Bride and Groom had a great time dancing the night away until midnight. I really enjoyed this couple and wish them all the best!
